Punjab Govt has provided various e forms for E filing of Vat Return .One of the form is VAT -18 ,it is to be used for Inter state sale List . this e form utility is provided in the excel sheet with Macros. Normally all the traders and professional prepares data in Excel or export the data from accounting software and use copy paste function to prepare this form. We are also doing this from Last few months . But while doing this a problem is arises every time that this copy paste function is not working in the Date column if we use copy paste for date column also then after clicking "validate " button all the dates erased by the program and we have to fill all the date again one by one it takes hours to fill date one by one as we have thousand of entries every time.We think many person are facing this problem in return filing and identical problem in copy paste in excel in all other return of their state or day to day functioning with Excel.
Yesterday we have tried a trick ,and trick is successful and we have saved at least three Hours for data input. Trick is very simple.
- Open a New text document file (Notepad)
- Copy date column from data file to new text file .
- Now copy Dates from text file and paste in the Vat Form -18
- Click validate ,you will taste success.
- You can try this trick where ever you face formatting problem as Notepad removes all formatting.
