Download TRACES PDF Generation Utility to convert Form 16 / 16A text files into PDF

As we have explained you that Form 16A text file will be available at TRACES (ww.tdscpc.gov.in)web site only.But most of us have faced a common problem that downloading the PDF Generator is a tedious JOB and most of the attempt to download is failed for most of the person .We have now uploaded this file on alternative site which can be downloaded free from the link given below.

Further ,If you have not registered you TAN on on TRACES then first register you TAN at Traces and start the procedure of download of Form 16A.

So Now you can not download your form 16A from TIN-NSDL website . Other feature that has been transferred to new site www.tdscpc.gov.ic(TRACES) has already been explained to you in the Link.

Downloading PDF Generator.
  1. This is the most tedious Job ,even we are not successful to download the same.
  2. Download PDF Generator after login .
  3. How to Install the PDF generator is provided in slide show given above.
  4. If your download is not complete or hangs, try again
  5. The downloaded file is a zip file. Unzip it and Run. This will install the utility
  6. Run the Utility
  7. Please make sure that you have the latest version of PDF generator. As of writing this blog, the version is 1.1. dated Jan 27, 2013.
  8. Digital signature option is not available in version 1.1(latest version ) and drawback is that we can't use version 1 also.

But we are able to download your utility from download links in minutes .If there is any charges please let us know after all you may have paid file hosting fees

      We have faced the same problem . We think main problem is with Java .One must download the latest version of JRE (Java Rune environment) then try to download from govt site . In fact now as we have provided the same no need to go to govt site.

      Nearly 500 person have downloaded the utility from our website and we have satisfaction that we have saved so much time of all the persons.

      Yes , we are paying it Hosting charges and domain charges but our model is like free to air tv channels .Increase viewers and earn through advertisements .So we are not charging any money from viewer for any services.

    1. Govt has not provided digital signature option in version 1.1.Earlier it was available in version 1.

      So either you have to wait for govt response or you may check solutions(if any)from private software vendor from Market.

  15. Thank you for the service rendered to the professional community. I tried to help my clients to get the TDS certificates downloaded and signed digitally. All my clients have XP with service pack 3. Though the demo given is for windows 7, the procedure given for signing the certificate digitally has been meticulously tried by all of them. However the net result is an error: unable to access jarfile C:\Documents. Since they have obtained the DSC just for income tax purposes, they have only .pfx file, whereas it is asking for P12. How does it differ and what is the solution?

  16. while generate TDS Form 16A pdf using this pdf converter utility, it failed to process after 690 records, whereas there is nearly 30,000 tds file need to be generated. when call tdscpc support, they claimed that Reliance office are able to generated nearly 1 lac! so which is the requirement of system to get it done.
    my system here is windows xp sp3, java 1.7.0.11 (java 7.11 - latest), also try with older version i.e. java 1.6.0.31 (java 6.31)
    both failed to generate more than 690 records, please guides.

  18. i am trying to install the traces pdf generator on my desktop. I have followed all the instructions but the error is unable to access Jarfile c:\program. the version on the site currently is 1.2L. can you help.

  19. i tried for one hour installing java 1.7, win Zip and Traces pdf converter utility but net result zero when i seen a error unable to access jar file c:\documents

  20. 1. I have down loaded Form 16A,when I am trying to convert it to PDF using the utility what Traces mentioned (Traces PDF generation utility V1.3L). It is showing wrong Password ,eventhough I have enerterd TAN number as a password.
